As one of the earliest and most significant production bases for automotive components, Caff was initially established in 1952, which contributes much to China automotive industry in the past decades.
Located in Hongyan Cun of Chongqing, Caff occupies an area of 154, 000 ㎡ , with asset of 500 million Yuan (RMB) and employees around 1, 500, with about 900 sets of equipment. Regarding quality assurance, TS16949 is available in Caff.
There are seven plants : air braking, steering & suspension, hydraulic braking, forging plant, tooling plant, heat treating, and equipment & power. For better support of its products and services, Caff has established a complete marketing network and sales branches in major cities of China.
Products of Caff fall into three categories, applicable for heavy trucks and big passenger buses : air braking system, steering and suspension system, and hydraulic braking system.
First is air braking system. Since the licensed technology from Wabco(1985-1995), Caff has established the most advanced production base for air braking system, with an annual capacity of 2 million pieces. ABS is now in supply for OEMs in small batches with positive customer feedback, and transmission system has so far been applied on Eaton and ZF systems.
Second is steering system, with annual capacity up to 900, 000 pieces. Some passing certification from Chrysler and from Mercedes Benz.
Third comes hydraulic braking system, including hydraulic proportioning valve, power steering bracket for passenger vehicles and mini buses, with annual capacity of 40, 000 pieces.
CAFF now mainly supplies to known OEMs in China, including Dongfeng, Faw, Hongyan, CNHTC, Shaanxi Heavy, Beijing Benz, Chang'an and GM - Wuling, meanwhile covering worldwide exports, after market and off-road market.
For municipal reconstruction project, CAFF is to move to a new zone within 2006. Estimated investment for new plant will be 250 million Yuan, landing area 270, 000 ㎡ , building area 100, 000 ㎡ .
