Exposed linear encoders operate with no mechanical contact between the scanning head and the scale or scale tape. Applications include measuring machines, comparators and other precision devices in linear metrology, production and measuring equipment. Accuracy grades as fine as ±5μm and better. Measuring steps to 1 nm. Lengths up to30 m. High traversing speed.
