Sanes Presses Co., Ltd., established in 1980, is a professional producer of mechanical presses and forging machines. The company's products are designed to meet both customers' standard and non-standard requirements to help them set up smooth and consistent production operations.

The company boasts its R&D department is constantly developing innovative products to meet the ever-changing demands of players in the pressing industry. Thanks to its long-term efforts to produce high-quality products, the company has won a rock-solid reputation at home and abroad, and has penetrated the upper end of many important markets. "Our customers have great confidence in our products. That's why we can use our own SANES brand to penetrate the markets of industrially advanced nations," says company president Chang Shih-chi.

Since its inception, the company has rolled out 10 series of pressing machines, such as C-type power presses, straight-side double-crank power presses, link presses, single-crank link presses, double-crank link presses, brass-valve forging presses, and warm/hot die forging presses.

Sanes' plant measures 15,480 square feet; it is located in Taiping, Taichung County, central Taiwan. In view of the global economic recovery and the increase in demand for presses worldwide, the company has recently procured a land lot nearby what will soon be the parent plant in preparation for building a new facility.

At present, Sanes sells mainly to mainland China, Southeast Asian nations, the U.S. and Canada, in addition to the domestic market. Most sales are under the SANES brand, but sales to the U.S. are mostly made on an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) basis.

The company boasts it was the first domestic producer of forging presses to penetrate the Japanese market, in 1985. "Our successful penetration of the Japanese market underscores the reliability of our products, because most Japanese customers are very critical in choosing production equipment," explains Chang.

Chang claims his company was also the first domestic manufacturer to introduce link presses to the domestic market, in 1991. Th machine overcomes the thorny problems presented in conventional mechanical presses. For instance, the slow engaging speed and high withdrawal speed considerably reduce noise and vibration during operation for the production of high-precision products.

The ISO9001-certified press manufacturer obtained the European CE mark certificate in 1997. Thanks to its efforts in developing advanced forging technologies, the company has won many awards from domestic academic and research institutes and industrial associations, says Chang, including the Forging Technology Development Award for the development of link presses from Taiwan's China Forging Association. Sanes has acquired many patents in Taiwan, mainland China, the U.S., and Germany.

GL-series double-crank presses for high-power processing are one of Sanes' newest product lines. The GL-series presses have an operation speed that slows when approaching the die, at the same time maintaining a high approach speed for efficient production, as with the firm's link-motion models.

Moreover, the machine will slow down while approaching the upper dead point. The slow speed provides a small brake angle that perfectly synchronizes the timing of feeding equipment. As a result, the machine is capable of rolling out more precision products in smooth production processes.

Sanes boasts its ENX series double-point link-motion presses feature high performance, high precision, low vibration, and low noise, which are required by the high-speed presses. The ENX series can minimize noise and vibration, which a conventional high-speed press cannot achieve.
