Taipei, March 27, 2012 (CENS)--To celebrate its 40-year founding anniversary, Taiwan Takisawa Technology Co., Taiwan's major manufacturer of precision machine tools and PCB (printed circuit board) drilling machines, recently inaugurated a new plant in Yangmei of Taoyuan County, northern Taiwan.

At present, the Japan-based Takisawa Group holds a 51% stake in Taiwan Takisawa. With the inauguration of the Yangmei plant, Takisawa Group will see annual production capacity in both Taiwan and Japan amount to 3,000 CNC (computerized numerically controlled) lathes per year, becoming the largest specialist manufacturer of CNC machine tools in both Taiwan and Japan.

Since its inception forty years ago, Taiwan Takisawa has sold more than 20,000 CNC lathes to over 40 nations. The company said it has enjoyed high order repeatability with high recognition worldwide.

The company's new plant in Yangmei occupies a land space of 6,000 pings (one ping equals to 36 square feet) with total investment of some NT$700 million. In the near future, the company will equip the plant with such high-tier production machinery such as large-sized five-face machining centers, and precision grinding machines.

The plant will mainly roll out high-tier machines, including large-sized CNC lathes, PCB drilling machines and OEM (original equipment manufacturing) machines commissioned by parent company.

Despite the impact of the European debt crisis, Taiwan Takisawa still saw annual sales amount to NT$2.96 billion, with per-share earnings reaching NT$2.7 last year, the same as that recorded in 2010.

With NT$600 million orders in hand, the company will be able to keep production lines running through the end of the second quarter of this year. Recently, the company has completed 10-odd new product items, including the LA, LS, FX and VTL series.
