Taipei, March 13, 2012 (CENS)--Kamioka Corp. has recently won the 18th Taiwan SME's Innovation Award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs for its new semi-gantry machining center dubbed LG-2500, which is honored for the unique, integrated one-piece, L-shape structure with semi-gantry axle overhangs, helping to achieve minimized footprint, optimal accessibility and operation control to improve operator safety and convenience during monitoring of cutting tool or loading/unloading large-sized workpieces.

Mainly supplying CNC (computerized numerically controlled) machining centers, CNC complex lathes, and double-column machining centers, Kamioka, established in 1965, is an experienced manufacturer built on Taiwanese and Japanese technological cooperation. With long-term dedication to developing innovative machines and reliable machining performance, the company is recognized by customers in Taiwan, Southeast Asia and Europe.

For instance, its VMC-1000 series is unlike vertical machining centers available today, but features 1000X600X600 in X, Y, Z-axis travel to be the highest among the same class, as well as stronger-than-competitor structural strength due to its four-rail base construction, fully-supported saddle/table and robust column construction.

Moreover, its CL-52 turning center series is popularly among numerous heavy-duty users when ever more models are designed for lighter cutting purposes.
