You Ji Machine Expands Production in Taiwan and China

Taipei, Feb. 17, 2012 (CENS)--You Ji Machine Industrial Co., Ltd., a maker of CNC (computerized numerically controlled) vertical lathes in Taiwan, is speeding up expanding production capacities both in Taiwan's headquarters in Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan and Kunshan, Jiangsu province, China.

The company said it has invested NT$1 billion to boost capacity across the Taiwan Strait. At the Kaohsiung headquarters, the company has leased 1.692 million square feet from the Taiwan Sugar Corporation to build a factory of 432,000 square feet, which will begin mass production by the end of this year.

At the beginning of this year, the company has completed construction of three factories totaling 324,000 square feet in Kunshan which has commenced production.

The production expansion allows You Ji to supply metal parts to the green energy, aerospace, vessel, automobile, heavy-duty metal-cutting machinery, mining and construction sectors.

You Ji is a maker of a complete range of vertical lathes with chuck diameter ranging from 200mm to a maximum of 8,000mm, being Taiwan's largest manufacturer and exporter of vertical lathes.

To design horizontal floor-type boring and milling machines, You Ji works with Headtec Co. of Germany to improve mechanical rigidity and machining accuracy, as well as Siemens of Germany, using Finite Element Method analysis, to greatly optimize mechanical structure and control system.
