ARC Solid-State Lighting Corp., founded in Jan. 2007 in Taipei County, northern Taiwan, focuses on LED (light emitting diode) lighting controller and opto-electronic design and development to provide optimal LED lighting solutions.

Of the wide-ranging opto-electronic devices, the ISO9001:2000 certified firm explores advanced software and control system technologies to make the most of LED lighting applications.

ARC's lighting control system is given a stage to show itself at the innovative EcoARK building at the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo, slated for Nov. 6-April 25, 2011.

The EcoARK building makes a green statement: with its exterior wall being of 1.52 million plastic bottles supported by a bamboo structure for a completely environmentally-friendly approach. The form of the architecture is hexagonal and stands out for the extraordinary plastic bottles. During the daytime, the outside walls look glittery and airy, but at night 40,000 LED lamps illuminate the structure, driven by the ARC software, to highlight the eco-friendly theme to maximum effect.

Realizing a veritable lightshow with the ARC LightShow Screen software, including the ARC5001-B0 (DMX lighting controller) and 310 units of ARC3610-W (three-channel constant voltage driver), the company is turning the EcoARK installation into a dynamic visual experience, where the LED lights are precisely programmed to display changing colors and movements.
