Quality assurance efforts make

Taiwan's involvement in the sanitary ware industry dates back to the 1950s, when a number of manufacturers in the line set up shop in the central-Taiwan county of Changhua. After half a century of development the industry now boasts about 1,000 producers and supporting companies, and serves markets throughout the globe.

Her Chern is a 30-year veteran in the bathroom products industry, with ISO-9001 and other international certification.

One of the foremost firms in the line is the Her Chern Sanitary Co., which was founded in 1978 to turn out traditional brass and copper sanitary ware. After gaining a few years of experience and upgrading its production equipment and product development, the company began diversifying and now turns out a wide variety of bathroom products including faucets, shower heads, bathroom furniture, shower columns, sauna and spa equipment, and related fittings and accessories, as well as sinks, pluming fittings, and other products for use in kitchens.

Concentrating on mid- to high-end bathroom products and with a commitment to customer satisfaction, Her Chern has gained a solid reputation among buyers from North America, Europe, and Oceania as a proficient and reliable supplier. The firm can fill both original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and original design manufacturing (ODM) orders.

Strong Competitive Edge

Much of Her Chern's success is due to its strenuous efforts to improve production capabilities and improve quality management. Advanced machinery has been installed to boost production efficiency, including computerized numerically controlled (CNC) lathes and machining centers, all of which are maintained and calibrated periodically. This assures that the equipment runs properly and that orders, even those for customized products, will be delivered promptly.

Quality assurance efforts have also paid off; the company has won ISO 9001:2000 certification, and its products meet international standards such as CSA, UPC, and NSF.

Upgrading to Stainless

What most makes Her Chern stand out from other manufacturers in the sanitary ware line, however, is its dedication to R&D. To boost the added value of its products and satisfy the growing environmental awareness, the company exchanges information with supporting companies and has upgraded to stainless-steel products. Strong R&D backing helps with the implementation of such production upgrades, including the adoption of eco-friendly surface treatment. A number of high-profile sanitary products have been launched as a result, most of them made of SUS304 material.

A strong R&D input can be seen in the firm's line of stainless-steel taps, all of which have bright surfaces and streamlined bodies with impressive geometric exterior lines that require outstanding production capability and high inspiration. The 19070T7 basin mixer tap, for example, has a streamlined body without sharp angles and is smoothly bent into an arc at the top; it has a mirror-like finished surface, with two cross-shaped knobs that add to the visual appeal.

The company stresses that it constantly expands its product range with the aim of offering a comprehensive line of bathroom products and providing customers with one-stop sourcing. Despite the increasingly challenging market, Her Chern is on an unwavering journey to leadership in the sanitary products industry.
