2009/10/07 | By CENS

Helping to further confirm Vietnam's status as one of the most buoyant economies in SE Asia was the MTA VIETNAM 2009, which wound up its four-day run July 11, 2009 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center. The machine tool show, held alongside Metrology Vietnam 2009, ToolTec Vietnam 2009, SubCon Vietnam 2009, and Automation Vietnam 2009, saw some 7,270 trade visitors turn up to see a wide range of machine tools and solutions for manufacturing. More than 234 exhibiting companies were on hand, 81% of which came from 20 countries, including nine national pavilions from Germany, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

"MTA VIETNAM2009 is grateful for the continued support and confidence from our co-organiser the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, VCCI Exhibition Services Co Ltd., the Vietnam Government, industry partners, exhibitors and visitors," said Mr. William Lim, Project Director of MTA VIETNAM2009 from Singapore Exhibition Services, the show organizer.

Official and Industry Support

A sign of the priority given MTA VIETNAM2009 is the trade event's list of official and industry supporters, including Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the People's Committee of HCMC, the Vietnam Automation Association, the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association, the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry, the Vietnam Electronic Industries Association, the Vietnam Steel Association, and the Vietnam Society of Automotive Engineers.

As many as 75 group delegations from local enterprises across Vietnam's manufacturing sectors took opportunity of the trade show to update their knowledge of the latest machine tools, as well as catch live product demonstrations put on by leading suppliers from Vietnam and overseas.

Judging from some of the feedbacks among the exhibitors and visitors, the trade event proved to be productive, with the exhibitors happy with the quality of visitors, and visitors being impressed with the large range of machine tools and solutions.

The next or 7th edition of MTA VIETNAM is scheduled for July 7-10, 2010 in Ho Chi Minh City.
