Founded two decades ago, Kenan Industrial Co., Ltd. Is one of Taiwan's most experienced manufacturers of two-spindle, high-speed drilling machines. It has also recently expanded into the production of computerized numerically controlled (CNC) precision lathes.

The company says its CNC lathes meet the needs of high-precision machining of electronic and machinery parts.

"In recent years, manufacturers of hardware, mechanical components and electronic parts have been turning out increasingly high-precision products," notes Chuang Ting-pao, president of the company. "We are therefore constantly upgrading our CNC lathes to meet these ever stricter production requirements."

Building from its solid foundation in the domestic machine-tool market, Kenan is now introducing high-precision CNC lathes for overseas markets.

One such machine is the new KNC-B20A CNC lathe which has a high-performance personal computer-based control system and intuitive operating interface. "It's very easy to operate, repair and maintain this unit," says Chuang.

With C-axis positioning mechanism, the KNC-B20A can be used for side milling and drilling at any angle. It is also able to handle internal and external threading. The lathe has a positioning accuracy of within 0.005mm, and its X-axis and Z-axis rapid traverse can achieve speeds of 18-20 meters per minute.

The company says it will continually concentrate on developing new machine tools to meet the ever-changing global market. The company welcomes original equipment/design manufacturing (OEM)-based orders.
